Howdy folks,
It’s been a minute since you’ve heard from me. I hope you are as safe, secure, happy and healthy as possible during these tumultuous times. And as crazy as things are now, I am reminded of the famous Bette Davis line in All About Eve. "Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy night."
As we enter into this chaotic period, I’m writing to share the exciting news that the Redneck Gone Green weekly video podcast has been picked up by Democracy at Work, the award-winning worker-led media platform featuring the renowned Economics Professor Richard Wolff.
The first edition of the new program will be Monday, Feb 3rd at 3pm pacific, 6pm eastern. We will be live every Monday in 2025. Please join the live conversation on YouTube.
The mission of Redneck Gone Green has always to go beyond the “ain’t it awful” description of how bad things are. Our program is a platform for insightful conversations about what can be done. You are part of a community of engaged listeners who are passionate about social change, and we provide concrete tools to empower folks to make transformational change happen. That mission hasn’t changed. In fact, it is a large part of the reason we have been picked up by Democracy at Work.
I am also excited to share that going forward will be joined by Shane Knight as a co-host. Shane has spent over six years directing, producing, and editing Economic Update with Professor Richard Wolff. You can read more about Shane here.
As always, we encourage you to share your thoughts, feedback, and suggestions with us here on Substack, or email us at redneckgonegreen@gmail.com. Your voice matters to us, and your suggestions and comments help us decide what topics we cover.
Lastly, I want to publicly thank Jackrabbit for everything he did as Executive Producer. It is no exaggeration to say that without his unwavering friendship, support and mentorship Redneck Gone Green would not exist. It is my sincere hope that he may pop in from time-to-time.
Onward to the world we deserve,
David Cobb
