Howdy folks,
Our guest for the Dec 19, 2023 episode of Redneck Gone Green will be Dr, Harriet Fraad, She has an extensive social change background, which you can see below my signature. As an unapologetic Marxist and practicing mental health counselor and psychotherapist, she is uniquely qualified to discuss this profound historic moment,
We are witnessing ongoing genocide in Palestine, fascism rising across the globe, a US Presidential election where the Republican Party nominee is a full-fledged fascist and the Democratic Party nominee is a corporate neoliberal.
And at the same moment We are witnessing an amazing upsurge of militancy by organized labor, connections and collaborations between organizations and movements devoted to racial justice, gender equality and social change.
What a time to be alive!
We broadcast live at 6pm Eastern 3pm Pacific. You can join us here on Youtube. You can also join us on Rumble. please subscribe to our channel and keep an eye out for when we post our livestream 24 hours before our broadcast. Please share the broadcast with your friends and on your social networks!

About Dr. Harriet Fraad
Harriet Fraad (born August 19, 1941) is a feminist scholar, activist, and psychotherapist who has practiced in New York City. She was a founding member of the “Second Wave” feminist movement in the US, and the founder of the journal Rethinking Marxism.
She publishes regularly in Truthout, Alternet, and The Journal of Psychohistory. She appears regularly on Economic Update on WBAI, KBBK in California, as well as other radio stations. Her work can be found on her website, harrietfraad.com.
Her podcast Capitalism Hits Home is part of Democracy at Work, a non-profit 501(c)3 that produces anti-capitalist, progressive media. Their work analyzes the capitalist economy as a systemic problem and advocates for democratizing workplaces as part of a systemic solution. They seek a stronger, fuller democracy – in our politics, culture and workplaces - based on equal collaboration and shared leadership by workers inside enterprises and throughout society.
When I've watched Dr. Fraad I'm reminded of my Aunt. A retired college professor, who, unapologetically, views and teaches thru a Marxian lens. I'm in my late sixties and still learning from them both.
