And an invitation to readers in Humboldt County
Howdy folks,
Jackrabbit and are I both doing some traveling in August, and we have decided to take a short hiatus. We will broadcast live again on Tues, Sept 2024 at 3pm pacific, 6pm eastern.
For those of you in Humboldt County, I invite you to join me at the annual Wiyot Goutswe’m (one sky) Celebration at the Table Bluff Reservation in Loleta. The Wiyot Tribe hosts this event and welcomes all (Gou’wil) people.
Rradaquunmuk Yinarr Lhatsik (respect our traditions), this is a Drug and alcohol-free event.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 24, 2024, beginning at 4:00 PM and ending around midnight at the ceremony grounds on the north side of Table Bluff Reservation in Loleta, CA. From Highway 101 take Hookton Road (Follow the signs), to Phelan Road.
This is an annual celebration. The event will include All My Relations (Wiyot Dancers), Colusa Feather dancers, Native Resistance and Jai Kibby drum groups, Bear dancers, and more. There is no charge for entry, but dinner tickets are $20.
