Howdy folks,
April 30, 2024 we will have two guests on Redneck Gone Green. That’s because we will be discussing both the student occupation at Cal Poly Humboldt in support of a CeaseFire in Gaza, as well as the upcoming Decolonizing Economics Summit happening online May 1st-3rd.
Here is a short video of Cal Poly students defending themselves with an empty water jug from cops in riot gear with batons. That was just a few days ago. As I write this on Sat, April 27 cops are converging on the campus.
We broadcast live at 6pm Eastern 3pm Pacific every Tuesday. You can join us here on Youtube. You can also join us on Rumble. Please subscribe to our Rumble channel and keep an eye out for when we post our livestream 24 hours before our broadcast. Our writings, podcasts, and video streams are always free. But if you join as a paid subscriber you will be invited into the studio for a post-show conversation with David, Daniel and the rest of the Redneck Gone Green crew.
Below my signature is a deeper piece on the Decolonizing Economics Summit.
Onward to the world we deserve,

We are thrilled to announce Decolonizing Economics 2024: Earth Day to May Day! This online event is accessible to participants worldwide and will include 15 sessions focused on collaborative ways in which individuals and institutions can create the infrastructure and practices to address economic disparities (often requiring us to protect or restore the land and water), redistribute wealth towards marginalized communities, and invest in the solidarity economy. From deep dive discussions on key issues like Making Land Back Real, Food Sovereignty, People’s Network for Land & Liberation, Democratizing the Economy, Decolonizing the Law, Traditional Ecological Knowledge, Solidarity Economy 101, and more, there will be something for everyone interested in advancing economic justice and sustainability.
Attendance is on a sliding scale, which means you pay what you can. If you are able to do so, we request a contribution of $25-100 so that we can pay a living wage to organizers, and provide a stipend to presenters. (We prioritize stipends to BIPOC presenters.) No one is turned away for lack of funds. We look forward to seeing you this year!
We invite you to explore the full schedule and register for Decolonizing Economics 2024: Earth Day to May Day. Your participation is crucial as we work together to challenge conventional economic narratives and center Indigenous knowledge, environmental justice, and community empowerment.
